Here's a breakdown of the fees sellers pay on Techsnap, including how they apply on payouts and returns. Please contact us if you have any questions.
Fees
Platform fee: 9%
Calculated on item price only, which excludes shipping and tax
Payment processing fee: ~3%
Stripe charges 2.9% + $0.30 on the total amount charged to the buyer (item + shipping + tax)
Payouts
Fees are automatically deducted when a seller's payout is released.
Included in payout:
- Item price
- Shipping (seller-managed labels only)
Deducted from payout:
- Platform fee
- Payment processing fee
Returns
How fees apply depends on the return reason. For more information, please read the Return Policy.
Seller at fault (defective, wrong, or misrepresented item):
- Platform fee: not charged
- Return label: seller provides and pays for their own return label
Buyer's remorse (seller accepts):
- Platform fee: charged to the seller separately (not deducted from a payout)
- Return shipping: paid by buyer
